Andrea Schlaerth, PhD, PMP
Andrea brings extensive experience to our consulting team in talent and organizational development, project management, training, and management consulting. Her front-line direction and thought leadership covers a wide range of strategic, entrepreneurial, operational, and people-development initiatives.
As a scholar-practitioner, holding a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and as a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the globally recognized Project Management Institute, her work spans the spectrum of diverse industries, customer groups, and work settings, including healthcare, higher education, entertainment, government, and social service organizations, having contributed to companies such as Walt Disney, Goodwill Industries, City of Pasadena, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, just to name a few.
In addition, as an Adjunct Professor at four university programs, at William James College, the California School of Management and Leadership at Alliant International University, and currently at the College of Business Administration at Loyola Marymount University and at the California School of Professional Psychology, she has taught at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels various courses in organizational development, assessment, change management, organizational behavior and human resource management, reaching students on three continents.
In 2016, Dr. Schlaerth co-authored a book chapter that was published in the Encyclopedia of Mental Health 2nd Edition on the constructive management and resolution of conflict. Her research in organizational behavior has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences, such as the Association for Psychological Science Annual Convention in New York, and at the International Congress of Psychology Conference in Cape Town, South Africa.
